BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR THIS YEAR!

Our Neighbors

Learn what other neighborhoods are doing to stay safe and secure!

NEIGHBORS, LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER. STAY INFORMED. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS HAPPENING.

When homes in our neighborhoods are suddenly vacant or used for rentals, or when visitors come, please make sure, neighbors, that you are paying attention--especially to our children and our elderly adults. Inform other neighbors about what is happening. Make sure that everyone  "is in the know" and safe.

Don't allow our neighborhoods to be overtaken and rundown with issues that can create harm to the residents that live in our neighborhoods. STAY WATCHFUL!

LET'S STAY AWARE OF HOW OTHERS INTERACT WITH US WHEN VISITING OUR NEIGHBORHOODS, HOW WE'RE LIVING AND HOW WE TREAT EACH OTHER. INFORMATION, RESPECT AND SAFETY IS KEY.

CREATE CO-OPS. EMPOWER EACH OTHER AND THRIVE!

NEW WAYS TO SURVIVE A RECESSION

Another common meaning of "co-ops" refers to cooperative societies—communities, small businesses or organizations owned and operated by the people who use their services or work for them. Examples include credit unions, grocery stores, housing co-ops, and worker co-ops. In these models, the members share the decision-making process and the profits of the organization. Co-ops are typically aimed at serving the needs and interests of their members, rather than maximizing corporate profit for external shareholders.  Types of Co-ops include:

  • Consumer Co-ops (e.g., food co-ops, retail co-ops)
  • Worker Co-ops (where employees own and operate the business)
  • Housing Co-ops
  • Agricultural Co-ops
  • Childcare Co-ops

Resources for Starting a Co-op:

  • National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA): Offers a lot of resources, training, and guides for people interested in starting co-ops in the U.S.

  • Local Co-op Development Centers: Many cities and regions have non-profit organizations that help people start and sustain co-ops.

  • Co-op Law: If you need legal advice, many lawyers specialize in co-op law, especially in setting up governance structures and drafting bylaws.

COMMON SENSE

If it doesn't feel right, then DON'T DO IT! THINK FOR YOURSELF!

Too many people are becoming overwhelmed with the things that they see on social media. Sometimes there are things on social media that just aren't right--no matter how you look at it. THINK FOR YOURSELF!

STOP BEING MEAN.

Some people think that the way to get things done in their lives, is to be outright mean to others. That's not the right way to go about doing things. People will never forget the way you make them feel. Don't be mean. It's just not a good look and no one likes to be around mean people. Spread Kindness!

SELFISHNESS DOES NOT TRAVEL A LONG WAY.

When one person looks out only for himself, then the benefits that he/she has obtained, dies with them. When one person looks out for others, then the benefits obtained, last a lifetime. Selfishness only travels so  far. Giving travels around the world.

Neighbors, are you Spiritually safe?

NEIGHBORS, WHO ACTUALLY OWNS WHAT WE BUY DAILY?

The wealthy have many investments.  You would be surprised, however, at how much our personal lives are affected by these investments on a daily basis.  READ HERE.

WHO EXACTLY ARE THE WEALTHY?

Many people across the world have managed to pull themselves up by their own personal "bootstraps" with skills and hard work. The result has been a comfortable or wealthy lifestyle.

There is NEVER anything wrong with acquiring wealth or using wealth to become a better person or to create a better world, but WHO's actually helping the world to become a better place? There are many wealthy people who are diligently working behind the scenes to move our world forward for the better. But there are also many wealthy people who continue to make their wealth off of the backs of the Middle Class working people and could care less about their well-being.
